I am applied mathematician and neuroscientist. I study the dynamics of neural activity in the human brain and synchronization in living systems.

I study how different neural cells interact with each other in health and disease (Parkinson's disease and other neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders).

You can look at some attempts to describe my research here (here), here (here, here), and here (here).

Read about our research in New Scientist; in Physics News Highlights by American Institute of Physics

Graduate students interested in joining my group?

I accept doctoral students through two programs, IUPUI graduate program in mathematics and Indiana University School of Medicine graduate program in medical neuroscience. Financial support may be available.
