About the MAC
The Mathematics Assistance Center is a service of the Department of Mathematical Sciences and University College at IUPUI. The Center offers the following services to any Mathematics student: Tutoring, and Media Online Math Tutorials. Please note the location and hours provided below.
MAC Hours
- Mon-Thurs, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
- Fri & Sat, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Sun 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Student Services
Walk-in Tutoring
Walk-in Tutoringis currently available for all of the Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus courses offered at IUPUI.
- Sessions are open to all IUPUI students enrolled in Math M001, 00100, 11000, 11100, M118, M119, 15300, 15400, 15900, 16500, 16600, 22100, 22200, 23100, 23200, 26100 and 26200.
- Bring your books and your questions.
- You may arrive at anytime during a session.
- Walk in, sit down, identify the tutor, and ask questions.
- Each time you visit you must sign in.
- On your first visit, you must also provide your student ID number.
- At most times, there are 1-2 tutors that can help with your specific course.
Peer Mentoring
Peer Mentoring is currently available for all of the Algebra and Pre-Calculus courses, and for Math M118 and Math M119 during the Fall and Spring semesters only.
Help with Online-Homework
Help with Online-Homework (MathXL) and Software Projects (Maple/Matlab/Minitab) is currently available for students enrolled in MATH M001, 00100, 11000, 11100, 22100, 22200, 16500, 16600, 26100 and STAT 30100 and 35000.
